(My standards in fic reading tend to seesaw between (a) pathetically low and giggling fondly at typos and (b) bitterly contemptuous and bitching at everything in sight. I'm going to have to edit the comments as soon as they're out of my short-term memory; I'm afraid some of them may have gotten too snippy, and others may have been misleadingly generous. I don't want to wrongly recommend any prospective fic readers, or offend any hardworking writers. o.o I can have rather strong opinions, but when it comes to applying them personally to real people, I fail rather dramatically. Ranting to oneself is quite different from addressing a potential audience...)
